Standard Siebel Upgrade
This method is generally used when the pre-upgrade application is in a stable condition and doesn’t suffer from major performance issues. Minor performance issues can be addressed during the upgrade process.

Re-Implementation
This is the recommended approach for pre-upgrade applications suffering from major stability and/or performance issues. Stability issues are often caused by poor or non-standard configuration. This approach will allow the upgrade team to “re-implement” functionality adhering to Siebel Best Practices and Performance Standards. |

Hybrid
This approach combines the Standard Siebel Upgrade and Re-Implementation methodologies. This is the recommended approach for pre-upgrade applications suffering from major performance issues but is generally stable. |
